Hey there! Just wanted to pop in and let you all know that the site is currently down for maintenance. The blog and gallery will remain active. I'm hoping to have it up an running within the week! I tell you what, Christmastime has GOT to be my favorite time of the year...so magical! It's funny...it seems that when you realize the truth about Santa Claus, the magic kind of goes away. Of course Christmas is still exciting, but less magical! It's been SO fun to have my own children and watch the excitement in their eyes not only on Christmas morning, but through the whole month of December. The magic, has indeed, returned!

One of my favorite Christmas traditions growing up was our Christmas Eve Pizza. Some people would have a nice turkey dinner on Christmas Eve, but the Golden Family ate Pizza Hut Pizza (and YES...it HAD to be Pizza Hut!) I have many fond memories of that and is something I will always remember...aren't traditions fun!

Okay...so...onto the reason you are really here...the blog train!!! The SM Design Team made this TOTALLY AWESOME collab kit (which is free with a $10 purchase at SM). Here's what I came up with...it's a fun little printable gift box, along with a treat bag topper!

Announcing the New GG CT Members!!

Wow...what a week. I am totally thrilled yet not at the same time. I had to turn away SO many talented scrappers. I've decided that choosing a Creative Team is a necessary evil and I've had other designer friends agree. I feel bad turning so many away, and I hope that you all know that I am completely sincere when I say that...I've honestly lost sleep over it. I wish I could just take you all, but unfortunately I don't have a need for a huge CT. SO...I hope that those of you who were not chosen don't hate me, and will still continue to post your AWESOME GG layouts in the gallery.

So, with that said, I AM SO excited to announce the new GG CT Members!!!

Be sure to check them out and leave them some love! Congrats girls!!!

Now onto the goodies! The "Landon" kit was one of our firsts, and has always been one of my favorites...I just love the colors!! Anyway, I thought it was time for a facelift...or as my hubby called it "Digitally Remastered"! So, here it is! I hope you love the NEW LANDON KIT as much as I do!!! Be sure to check out the coordinating "swatch album" as well!

Megan Turnidge (from my AWESOME CT) has decided to try her hand at design, and I'd say she ROCKED her first kit, wouldn't you? I am absolutely THRILLED to have her selling in the shop...be sure to keep your eyes peeled for more fun goodies from her, and pick up her kit while it's on SALE...I promise you won't want to miss out on it! :)

Digital Scrapbooking Day...November 1st!!!

Just wanted to give you all a little heads up for the happenings on Digital Scrapbooking Day (DSD) this Saturday!!!

FALL SALE!!!

Haunting Halloween Hybrids!

Hey there team! Hope you're all enjoying October...we sure are! We've been canning and dehydrating...today we're maing salsa! Not really my favorite thing...since I don't even like it...we'll just call it a "labor of love"!!!!! (for my cute hubby!)

Anyway, the kids and I got the house all decorated for Halloween yesterday, and it got me all excited to do a fun Halloween Hybrid project!!!! So, when the kids went down for naps, I went to town...my office was a DISASTER when I was finished, but I was VERY pleased with the end result, and it didn't take me too awfully long either!

What you'll need:

2x4's- Cut, Sanded, and either stained or painted

Craft Glue (my new fav is the Martha Stewart stuff from WalMart)

Various buttons and ribbon

Black Ink

Create your background canvases in Photoshop

Size your elements appropriately

Put everything on a new 8.5x11 canvas to print (or 8x1o if you're printing at a photo lab)

Cut out your elements and papers, ink the edges, and arrange how desired

Glue to blocks
Easy Peasy Project!!!! I think I just might make a "JOY" set for Christmas too!

Happy October!

What an exciting month we have ahead of us at GG Digital Designs! October has got to be one of the best months of the year...at least I think so! The weather here is perfect for being outside and the crisp evenings...love 'em! All of the fall smells filling the air, carving pumpkins and picking out Halloween costumes, and the list could go on! We've got some fun new kits and goodies for you to help you capture some of those fun fall memories, along with a few more to help give you head start on Christmas gifts!!!!
